Heat Dissipation Unit
Movaria Power Train
Movaria GmbH
The heat dissipation unit is the brake chopper of the system. It is required if either the Motor or the Generator generates more energy than the Battery can take. To achieve this, it carefully monitors the battery's capability for being charged as well as the power generated by the Motor and Generator. If necessary, the HDU will dissipate excess energy by heating itself up. The HDU is temperature controlled and therefore the maximum energy absorbance is mainly limited by how well it is cooled. It is necessary to connect to a proper cooling surface.
